All tracks that are 8FT and above are connected by multiple tracks using a junction plate. Thus, the spacing between the middle two holes may not be 16 inches. If you have a door that falls out of this range, please let us know your exact door thickness so that we can put shorter hex bolts for your thinner doors or longer hex bolts and spacer extenders for your thicker doors. Track Length Customization We now provide free track length customization service for you. No matter how long you want the track to be, such as 9ft 6in, 12ft 3in, ... You name it. Our professional blacksmith is here to cut the track for you. Simply order a track length option that is right above your desired track length and let us know the exact length you want. For example, if you want 12ft 3in, order the 13ft and tell us to cut it down to 12ft 3in for you. Roller Wheel Customization Besides the standard black nylon wheels, we now have metal wheels and wood wheels. The metal wheels are more durable and can hold much heavier door weight. If you have a heavy door, choose the metal wheel to get another layer of security. The wood wheels however, is not as strong as metal wheels but it gives you a more natural feelings for your barn doors. FAQ Basic Specifications Q1: What is the width and thickness of the track? A1: The width is 1 1/2'' and the thickness is 1/4''. Q2: What is the material of the roller wheel? A2: The roller wheel is made of nylon to reduce the rolling noises to the minimum level. Q3: Is it one-piece single track or connected by multiple shorter tracks? A3: Tracks 7.5ft and under are one single track instead of being connected by multiple shorter tracks. Tracks 8ft and above will be connected by multiple tracks. Therefore, the spacing in the middle may not be 16''. Door Compatibleness Q1: What is the maximum door weight the track can stand? A1: You can hang doors up to 220lbs for a complete set of hardware. If you have a super heavy door, we recommend you put a header board, put more hangers for this door or switch the nylon wheels to our metal wheels for better security. Q2: What is the compatible door thickness? A2: The hardware is compatible with door thickness from 1 3/8'' to 2''. If you have a door that falls out of this range, please let us know your exact door thickness so that we can put shorter hex bolts for your thinner doors or longer hex bolts and spacer extenders for your thicker doors. Q3: How do I know the length of track I need for my opening? A3: Usually we recommend the track length to be at least double the total door width or the openning. For example, if you have two doors that are each 30'' wide. You will need 2* (30''+30'') = 120'' long track. Or if you have a opening that is 48'' wide, you will need at least 96'' long track. Installation Inquires Q1: What is the minimum clearance required? A1: In most cases, you need to have at least 6'' clearance (from top of the door to the ceiling). Some type of rollers require clearance less than 6'', you can find the accurate clearance requirement in the product images. Q2: What is the spacing between each pre-drilled holes? A2: The spacing is now the American Standard spacing of 16''. Q3: What should I do if I have a door trim? A3: You can either put a header board about the same thickness or ask for the spacer extenders from us to push the door further away from the wall.
